I am trying to re-arrange my page and cannot figure out what position k2 posts appear on a given page. Also I would love to figure out how to clear the social sharing buttons at the bottom of each k2 post so only the content is displayed.

Hi. There are no positions in K2. K2 provides a component ( menu links or links to K2 resouces ) which of course is rendered in the component section of your site. Apart this there are several K2 modules which can be published at module positions of your template. Regarding the social buttons go to the category of this item and look for the relevant options.
