Hi,

I'm having 3 problems when attempting to "Hide" Tags under the Category Level or at the Item Level.

1. Category Level

Option 1
-> Item view options in category listings
-> Tags -> Hide
Result: Tags are hidden but also hides Item description: Intro-text disappears

Option 2
-> Item view options
-> Tags -> Hide
Result: nothing happens

Option 3
-> Delete actual tags from Tags field
Result: Tags are hidden but also hides Item description: Intro-text disappears

2. Item Level

Option 1
-> Item view options in category listings
-> Tags -> Hide
Result: Tags are hidden but also hides Item description: Intro-text disappears

Option 2
-> Item view options
-> Tags -> Hide
Result: nothing happens

Option 3
-> Delete actual tags from Tags field
Result: Tags are hidden but also hides Item description: Intro-text disappears


I'm not able to hide tags at any level without K2 also hiding the intro-text of the item. Is there any settings to stop this from happening. Essentially I'm trying to show the item title and the description but without tags.

Hi. This sounds like an issue of template overrides. Try to add "?template=system" to the URL to see if settings work as expected.

Yes, it hides the Tags and shows the Item Intro-Text but all the formatting from the page is now gone.

How do I correct this issue?

The Tags are enabled in order to view the description. I can email you the back-end password so you can see what happens when the Tags are disabled.

I did get a response from the Template Developer:

If you are using K2 and getting this problem plz go to following directory template > roksmart_template > html and remove com_k2 directory your K2 theme will go to default K2 theme. then also getting same error then its K2 problem. thank you


I removed the com_k2 directory and it fixed the problem. Now I'm able to disable tags.
