Is there a shortcode available to place specific items in an article?

My goal is to use Uikit to organize and display products similar to this: bray.com/products#filter=.butterfly-valves. I would like to use a shortcode that displays each K2 item along with the title and links to the item's page. Is this possible?

You need to find a K2 plugin that uses shortcodes.
I think that the use of a K2 Content module is much easier and preferable.

I prefer not to use the K2 module. The formatting is unflattering and it doesn't offer enough control over the placement of each item. Judging by your response, I'm assuming the answer to my previous question is "No, it is not possible without an additional plugin". Thanks anyway.

You can style the module anyway you want and even override and change every aspect of it. Furthermore you can use {loadposition} (look at Joomla!'s docs) or insert a module position in your item.php file. For the latter there are several posts about it in this forum.

Thank you for the info. But it seems that the module's layout places all of the items inside of one grid. My goal is to manipulate each item individually. Is this possible with the existing module?

If you need to manipulate each item individually, then you need a K2 plugin.
