I am planning to use K2 to various sections in my site. Lets say for example: Sports, World, Local, etc..

At the moment, if I enable K2 search plug-in, it shows only 1 filter option in the Joomla's search component as "K2 Items". How can I add K2 Search Plug-in for each main categories? I want it to show different K2 Categories as options here in Joomla's search like: Sports, World, Local, etc.. How can I do that?

PS: I also tried out K2 Tools module but that is not what I am after since I want to add these filter options in Joomla's com_search. Any help will be appreciated.

You should look for advanced filtering/ search extension at the JED or here: getk2.org/extend

Hint: Make sure that the extension will work with com_search and supports K2's latest version.
