Hi,
i have created an account on github to help guys of joomlaWorks testing betak2v3.
so if you login you can post your enhancemnt-Wishes on the right-side tab "issues". there are today 4 "enhancement"-labels.
i think ist easier for the guys to get wishes in not too many different Places.
Regards

I agree Franz...as this forum is the central location for all K2 talk.
Here's an idea - ask people to include #K2FeatureRequest in the title or body of post. This would allow for fluid inclusion while engaged in back in forth communications. Also, this would allow the developers at K2 to easily search throughout their forum and other platforms for that matter (as the term is unqiue)
For example - why writing this post, I had an idea...
#K2FeatureRequest - Allow tag names to include Hashtag symbol - to offer users K2 Hashtags. Currently, when you include a hash symbol in your tag, it breaks the SEF (at least for me - using sh404SEF)
Resulting in a domain like this...
www.domain.com/tag/#HashTagName&Itemid=807
I understand that this defying URL protocol, but this would prove, why there is a need for seperation between defined the tag name and the alias.
This URL would be ideal...
www.domain.com/tag/-HashTagName
"-" could serve as a placeholder in the URL while the display name would be "#HashTagName"

A link cannot start with a hashtag.
Hashtags are anchor links (internal links in a site, not actual links) or parts of a JS based application.
This is not a K2 issue it is just how HTML works.

I understand a page can not start with #
What I am saying is that, it would be nice to have full control over the name of each tag.
Offering people the ability to define the "Tag Name" and "Tag Alias" would alleviate this problem, so that K2 users could do something like this...
Tag Name: #K2rocks
Tag Alias: K2rocks
With this example, K2 users would be able to create and utilize there very own #HashTags
This also would allow people do have tags such as...
Tag Name: Salty & Sweet
Tag Alias: salty-sweet
Tag Name: President/CEO
Tag Alias: president

Hashtags cannot be contained in URLs, they point to anchor points not actual links.
This is how HTML works. www.w3schools.com/html/html_links.asp

I know this, that is why I said it would be ideal to have control of the alias. Creating #Hashtags is just one of many applications. Providing the K2 user the ability to create tag alias is the point.
Tag Name: #K2rocks
Tag Alias: K2rocks
URL: www.domain.com/tag/k2rocks
Tag Name: Salty & Sweet
Tag Alias: salty-sweet
URL: www.domain.com/tag/salty-sweet
Tag Name: President/CEO
Tag Alias: president
URL: www.domain.com/tag/president
In the case of...
Tag Name: ? Got Questions ?
URL: www.domain.com/tag/k2rocks
If the user did not define the Tag Alias, it could default to replacing any special characters used as the first character in the tag name to a hyphen, so in the case that I provided, if the user did not define the alias, it would be "-got-questions". So, if a user uses an alias that starts with a non-alphanumeric character (such as / # ?), it would default/be changed to a hyphen.
Once again, providing the K2 user the ability to define both the Tag Name and Tag Alias is my point.
