Tag cloud selecting items from other categories was created by Tarun Das
Hi,
In addition to the category mentioned in "Filter tags from one or more categories" ( K2 Tools module) my tag cloud is showing items from other catergoty.
I have "Apply tag category filter recursively to all sub-categories" set to "Yes" to show all the items in the subcategories under the main category selected in the above option. The tag cloud shows all the items perfectly in the main category and the subcatgories under it. The problem is the tag cloud is also listing items from other category which is not releted to main category mentioned in option. How I can stop that ?
Thank in advance.
Tarun

Hello Tarun,
Do these items share any tags?
Also which version of K2 are you using?

Thank you Krikor,
Yes they do. Things are as below ...
1. K2 Category = Beaches,
2. K2 Category = Wildlife
Tag is made in the name of the rigion so that one can list Beaches of a particular region. Similarly others can list National Parks ( wildlife) of a particular region.
Some regions have both. Beaches and Wildlife. For example, Goa is the region which has beautiful Beaches as well as Bird Sanctuaries.
The problem is Filter is not behaving as it should have. Even though I am selecting only one category in the filter (Filter tags from one or more categories) it is listing items from both the categories.
I am using Joomla! 3.3.1 and K2 2.6.8

Tarun,
I will have to verify this.
I will let you know on this issue.
Btw have you tried Joomla! 3.3.3 and K2 2.7 DEV?
(Just in case backup before you update)

Hi Krikor,
You can check it in the below link...
themeindia.org/index.php/wondrous-wildlife
Scorll down and find the 'Region Tag' on the left column. click on the tag 'Goa'
The first two listings are the intended ones as set in 'Tag Cloud Settings'. Rest of all are from other category not mentioned in the Tag Cloud filter settings. I am adding a screenshot of my Tag cloud setting
Category "Southern India" shown in the list is a sub-category under the main catetogry "wondrous wildlife" mentioned in the 'Tag Cloud Settings'
Krikor, thank you for you advice, as you know I am not a programmer, and that is why I am not very confident of using DEV versions. I would rather like to wait for the stable version of it - LOL. By the way updated my Joomla to triple 3. Nobody was watching so I did it without backing it up first. :P ... kind of lazy you know B)
Here is my question again. Why my tag filter is not working?

@Tarun Das
Hi. These settings are filtering the tags appearing in the tag cloud not the items listed after you click on a tag. When you click on a tag there is no category filter unless you have created a menu link to a tag and have set the extra filter in the menu link settings .
