I want to hide a category 3 item from page menu left side

News
cat 1
cat 2
cat 3

I have created a link to cat 3 on my about page

About
history
facts
Staff and Administration (cat 3)

Now I want to remove cat 3 from the news page
News
cat 1
cat 2

How do I do this and keep cat3 (Staff and Administration) link live on the About page?
