I recently installed K2, and I find it a good component, but among the many changes to the settings that I have done, I know that I have also changed, and not wanting to, setting "fundamental".
Let me explain:
In my site, there are some authors that have a defined profile with avatar and text, and some authors who instead are sporadic, or are no longer part of the team, and therefore do not have their own profile k2.

In the settings there is an option "show avatar image replacement when it is absent" .... choosing "hide", it happened that the profiles without image automatically disappear from the bottom of the article and then was no longer displays "itemAuthorBlock" while in the profiles with avatars everything worked properly.
After some "tweaking" unfortunately are also returned images of substitute avatar ...

There is a definite way to say that "if the user has no avatar, itemAuthorBlock you should not see"?
