..im using Joomla 3.3.1 and the k2 COmponent 2.6.8.

In one of my categories, i'm using as kind of a blog view, i activated the item navigation, but it is not working correctly.

The first item page only shows a link to the previous item ( "the pretty first item") but it should show a link to the next item also...but it doesn't.

The second article shows both links correctly, and so on... only the next link on the first item is missing...

Does anyone know about this problem and can help me?!

If that item is the first there is no Next (newer) item.

...but there is a prev link to the first item in the category?! ...and no link to the article before this article? This can't be it?!

There is a previous link because there are older items.
There is no next link because there are no newer items.
That is why you see a next link in the second item.
