Is there a way to manage extra fields on categorie was created by Kevin
Hello,
I need to attache extra fields on category levels in order to display them on the category.php e.g.: text blocks, images, links, etc.
Is it something possible ?
K2 version : 2.6.7

Unfortunately this has to be done at the present time with a K2 plugin.
You can look for one at the JED or getk2.org/extend
This feature will be available in K2 v3 out of the box.

Hello Krikor,
Thanks for this quick reply !
In fact I already checked the k2 extensions and I didn't see anything relevant (accepting one plugin to extend joomla users with extra field).
I already saw the readme of the beta3 of k2 with news features (it feels great!), but unfortunately, we cannot upgrade to joomla 3 for this project.
I guess I will have to write my own extension for k2 ?

I have seen some extrafield related K2 plugins but I cannot recall something specific.
If you have made a through research and nothing came out then a K2 plugin is the only solution.
You can find an example plugin here: getk2.org/extend/extensions/90-example-k2-plugin-for-developers
