Hello,
I'm on Joomla! 2.5.11 & K2 v2.6.6.
I noticed a sort of bug (not sure if its a bug) when doing item frontend editing on a multilingual site.
I have a two language website, Romanian and Russian. Romanian is default one.
Whenever a user with Romanian language set as preferred in his profile creates a new content item, or edits an existing one from frontend always his default language is set as item language, even though he sets it to "all" option. I can successfully set item language to "all" from backend editor, but if he edits the same item from frontend again, the language is set to his proffered one back (Romanian his case), even if he set it to a different language like Russian, its set again to Romanian.

Absolutely same thing only reversed happens when a user with Russian languages as preferred tries to add an item in Romanian, after saving the item its always set back to Russian language as item language.

Why do i need items to be set to all languages option? Because if it is set to one language only and you switch language using languages switcher, you get an 404 error page. If i could fix that i wouldn't need to set items language to all.

Demo: www.principiuldivin.md/ru/blog/blogery/k2-item try to switch to other language than the one set in item options, using the language switcher.

Thanks a lot!

@Eugen

I just tested under Joomla! 2.5.24 and K2 2.6.8 and had no issues. Are you using the core multilingual functionality or are you using an extension ( like JoomFish, Josetta or Falang ) ? If you use an extension i suggest to:

1. Ensure it's up to date.
2. Ask also the extension developers for help.
