Installation Error when installing in joomla 3.3.3 was created by John Allen
I received the following error when attempting to install K2 on my development server preparing to migrate to Joomla 3.3.3. Any ideas how to resolve to get K2 to install?
1146 Table 'cdmastes.tce_k2_categories' doesn't exist SQL=SHOW FULL COLUMNS FROM `tce_k2_categories`

Have you tried removing it and reinstalling it?

@John Allen
Probably some of the folders of K2 are left back, and that is causing the installer to think that this is an update and not a new install. In order to fix this:
1. Uninstall K2 from the Joomla! extensions manager. Note that this will also remove K2 database tables and you will lose your K2 data. If K2 is already uninstalled go to step 2.
2. Ensure that K2 has been removed quickly. Check that folders components/com_k2 and administrator/components/com_k2 do not exist on your server.
3. Install K2.
