404 error on home page (solved) was created by Charlie
I am new to K2 and may have done something stupid. I installed K2 and then set up the users login. I logged out while the front end of the site was "Offline in control panel" and now I get a 404 error. I am using a site with no real menu on the home page though I do have a hidden menu. The page used as featured has two modules inserted. Everything looks ok from the back end nut the 404 remains.

Can anyone offer some suggestions?

Thnx

Joomla cannot work without a default menu item.
You need to set a default menu item in order for your site to work correctly.

I have a default menu item but it is hidden. The module has no position. Some people even assign it to the blank component.

I did get a result. It seems that the frontpage article (containing only the modules assigned) was changed. Is it possible that when I imported everything to K2, this was changed to an older unpublished version.? The site is now working. Thank you for your efforts.
