I was wondering if you can sort related items by Joomla order? The items are currently displayed by Joomla order in category view but the related items are not in item view.

At this time, the related items cannot be sorted.
The newest items will be shown.

There has been a feature request for the 3.0 version but I am not in a position to say if it is going to be implemented in the core.

but I guess they obey a certain sorting rule (even if that rule cannot be changed), created date, modified date, sorted by name ?

The are the most recent (related) items.

I copied the items 1 by 1 starting with the one I wanted to appear last in related items, published them, and deleted the original ones and tha's it !!!! ;-)

You can also look at the JED for an extension that does this automatically.

Hi,

I just realized that when you save the copied item if let's say you just want to remove 'Copy of' in front of the item name, then the created time strangely changed to 00:00 instead of the correct time you got when you actually copied / created the item. Then the related items order is out of control again :-(

Is there a way to fix that small bug ?
