I have a lot of logotypes on my site. They will be displayed on several places on a site. I would like to use vector logotypes in svg file format. Due to transparent background and clear sharp lines.
Does K2 support svg images as K2 image?

Joomla! in general does not support SVG.
You need to manually upload it and then use it.

am i right if i say i cannot use it in the image tab in the K2 article?

No, the uploader will not allow, furthermore svgs cannot be resized, scaled with PHP, they are already vector.

You can use an extrafield to upload them if you want to use them as K2 images. This change has to be reflected in your template as well.
