"Last-modified" HTTP header in K2 feeds was created by Andrew Lambert
I use a service called Twitterfeed to take my rss feed from K2 and feed updates to facebook and twitter. Since the recent launch of my Joomla site with K2, Twitterfeed will not properly update the content. I contacted their support and we diagnosed the issue to be that their service uses the "Last-Modified" HTTP header and compares it to the pubDate of the most reason item when deciding if the feed has been updated.

In K2 the "Last-Modified" HTTP header in the feed always seems to be the current time, i.e. when the feed was requested, instead of the last time any content in the feed was updated. Is there a way to make sure the "Last-Modified" header is the same time as the pubDate of the most reason item in the feed, or possibly have there be a way to generate a static xml (or other) feed file?

You can use Feedburner for your feeds.
We will also look into your request.
