Hi there

I am having issues editing an item with the frontend editform.

When i try to edit an extra field value, i click save and nothing takes effect,
and when i click close, the iframe stays but i see my home page in that iframe..
I have:
Joomla 2.5.27
K2 Dev. Build 2.6.9

Any insight or assistance would be greatly appreciated
Where would i send login details for you to test?

Which other extensions are you using?
Could you try with the latest DEV version and let me know?
P. backup before installing the newer DEV version.

I have a few published on each K2 item page:
1. Nextend Accordion Menu (responsive view)
2. Maxi-menu
3. SW K2 Tabs
4. DM Maps for K2
5. K2 Contact Revolution
6. BT Login
7. K2 Inceptive Multiple Extra fields

I have unpublished all (except BT Login obviously) but still no editing taking effect with the form. I tried the latest 2.7. dev build, the edit form does not display the extra fields correctly after the upgrade .. so i restored my site to just before i installed the latest dev build.

could i email you access credentials please for you to check for me please?
very frustrating as i dont know what would be the issue.

When you tried with the DEV version did the same behaviour occur?
Were you able to publish items?

Could you try disabling the incptvk2multipleextrafieldgroups K2 plugin?

Hi Krikor,

I have tried disabling all the extensions/plugins one at a time but that still did not allow the k2 editform to apply changes :(

I saw your site.
I updated (no changes done) a K2 through the backend.
No white screen, seems to work fine.

The issue is that you are using multiple K2 plugins.
K2Contact Revolution Options
DM Maps for K2
Additional Categories
SW Tabs Pro for K2
K2canonical

As well as the template's custom functionality.

One these extensions is preventing you from entering content from the front-end.

You have to do the following.
Backup your site then,
a) Contact the template developer to see it they have faced this issue in the past.
b) Update all these extensions.
c) Disable all K2 plugins. And try to enter content from the front-end. Keep enabling them one by one until you find the one that is causing the issue.

Optional. Check all of the extensions product page for any known issues like yours or to see if one of them cannot work in the frontend.

Just giving you feedback on what I have tried so far:
Updating k2 items in the BACKEND have no issues, works good :)

1. I disabled all k2 plugin addons that i installed, tried to edit an item in the frontend, still cannot edit after save.
2. I also changed to the Default Joomla Beez 5 Template to see if it was my template that was giving issues,
tried to edit an item, clicked save and still cannot edit.
(Sometimes after clicking save, my home page displays in the modal window)
3. i also unpublished ALL the modules on the k2 item page, to avoid any conflicts, but still not able to apply frontend edits.
4. In one of the threads, one person mentioned disabling SEO URLs in the k2 parameters - that did not work.. any suggestions to try or if u can have a look for me when you can please?

Do you get any errors in the browser console before or after clicking the save button?

Hi Left,

Firefox did not want to display the console errors, it said its reached its limit.
I tried Chrome and this is what displays after clicking save:

What is khm1.googleapis.com ? I see several errors there and none of them is related with K2. You need to resolve those errors, otherwise K2 ( and possibly other extensions ) will not work.

Hi, The kh errors i think is to do with the map extension i have, but some other items don't have the map so i dont think that is the problem, i have just updated to k2 v2.7.0 but still no luck :( i tried also to switch to the default joomla templates, still could not edit an item.
Any other suggestions please?

There are no other suggestions. You should fix the errors first. If the extension is throwing errors you might have to update it or disable it.
