i imagine i have something easy here..i want simply to updat to 2.6.8 from 2.6.7 and i did so but everything changed in the layout of items. surely k2.css file is changed. so how can i update but to keep my changes in k2.css?simply back it up and then upload it?

(about template overriding i am ok, the templates are working fine)

Hi. No, there is a specific way to override K2 CSS and HTML output so the changes are not lost after updates. In summary you can place your custom k2.css file under templates/YOUR_SITE_TEMPLATE/css folder. Language files are updated with every extension update. For overrides in language files you need to use the Joomla! language manager at "Extensions" -> "Language Manager" -> "Overrides" . This is the way to do it for all extensions not just K2.
