so yeah I have gone through and unpublished some modules and plugins and so on that I didn't htink I was using... now my k2 content isn't showing... all of the modules and everything else is working just fine. if you could tell me some likely places to look that would be awesome. I went through and was hitting up everything like global configuration menu, modules, plugins etc etc... i have republished anything that came up as "k2" when i searched.

You need to clarify what you have unpublished. The first thing you need to check is that the "System - K2" plugin is installed and enabled. If it is K2 will work.
