Google+ social icon disappeared in K2 items was created by Marcel Albers

Hi K2 Community,

The Google+ icon is not showing up on my K2 item pages. I use the Gavick Music State template. Gavick said update your template, but it's up-to-date. And on my backup site the Google+ social icon is working on K2 items! Same template same version.

Hi. Are you using a custom template override for K2. The page source is not correct. I see:

<plusone annotation="inline" width="120"></plusone>

while it should be:

<g:plusone annotation="inline" size="small" width="120">

Look how the bundled K2 template file is printing the button and update your override.

I've changed the K2 override, which had no effect(!?).

I still see

<plusone annotation="inline" size="small" width="120"></plusone>

Make sure you edited the correct files and also make sure you are not using any system plugin which alters the HTML code.

Hi,
You're right....I thought you forgot <\plusone>

Now I used your code, still no differences.
The wierd thing is also that my backup site, same template/version/modules/plugin/everything, does work! Backup site URL

I'm totally flabbergasted...I use "<g:plusone..." in the K2 template override from the Gavick template as you can see in the attachment but it still shows "<plusone..." HELP??

If you did not install any other extension you should ask Gavick about this. If you did you need to temporarily disable these extensions to see which one is stripping the button's code.

It is most likely a html validator/ code beautifier or security plugin.

Eventually I've found the extension that blocked Google+ botton.
It was plugin 'System - Rokbox' version 2.x with backward compatibility enabled. With backward compatibility disabled the Google+ button is displayed.
