Everytime I publish a new item on my site with a picture k2 renames it in something like 052250dc50138371fd04f19c188f0143.jpg .
I put all my media to be stored in media/k2/items/src/ so it will be easier for my publishers to have all pictures on one place.
But i want to stop K2 renaming my pictures because if i put for example: picture of football player balotelli and name it "balotelli.jpg" it would be easier next time when I want to publish an article about him to find the picture in media by the name balotelli. It would be easier for me and my publishers. Because my journalists/publishers dont know too much about computers and its easier if i upload some pictures of sport players, name the pictures by the name of the players and then when they need the picture they can find it by its name. But when K2 renames all the time my pictures with some numbers and letters that is impossible.
Is there an option to stop k2 renaming pictures ?

The image filename is not causing any problems in your site's SEO. Joomla is blocking the /media folder by default in robots.txt. Moreover, the K2 image html code is using alt/title attributes which is far better than naming your actual image file.

So there is no way for my images to be named as i want ?
