I installed the latest dev k2 (I HAD to install it because I had a problem with the items date), but the server is overloaded now.
The hosting wrote me that this query takes up to 50% of the cpu usage:
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM gx9la_k2_items WHERE YEAR(created)=2014 AND MONTH(created)=12 AND DAY(created)=31 AND published=1 AND ( publish_up = '0000-00-00 00:00:00' OR publish_up <= '2014-12-10 13:38:22' ) AND ( publish_down = '0000-00-00 00:00:00' OR publish_down >= '2014-12-10 13:38:22' ) AND trash=0 AND access IN(1,1) AND EXISTS(SELECT * FROM gx9la_k2_categories WHERE id= gx9la_k2_items.catid AND published=1 AND trash=0 AND access IN(1,1) )

Can it be the problem?

Hi. This query has not been changed since several releases, so it's not the update causing this. Just ensure that Joomla! caching is enabled.
