I am sorry but this is not technically possible.
If you want to restrict access to some user groups you can use front-end editing.

Please inform me about ability changing some code for disable viewing media-manager's icon for all users in backend. Or for disable media-manager.

Hacking the core is not recommended and it will lead to unexpected results.

You can look for an extensions that extends K2's ACL
