That is actually the solution make sure you have edited the correct files. In the link I gave you there is the link to overrides tutorial ( getk2.org/documentation/tutorials/item/174-templating-with-k2-and-the-concepts-of-sub-templates ). Use that link to locate the proper item.php file. If you want to remove the link the listings, you need to edit the appropriate file (eg: tag.php, category_item.php)
