K2 component menu missing

K2 component menu missing was created by Andy Connell
Updated to K2 2.6.9 in my Joomla 3.3.6 site and now the component menu link is missing in the back end?

I do have XMAP installed & know of issues in the past where the plugin needs to be enabled in order to show the K2 component link.
I have uninstalled XMAP, re installed and tried with K2/xmap plugin on/off.

This site is on MAMP server using APACHE & PHP5.5.18


Any ideas? K2 front end all seems to work OK?

Try clearing Joomla!'s cache. If all fails uninstall both extensions, then install K2 before installing XMAP.
