Category name problem was created by Franca
Hello everyone, I have a problem with the pages type “k2 categories” : I cannot hide the name of the category (with the folder icon on the left) that I have highlighted in the image.

www.margherite.org/scritta-categorie.jpg

In the category options I tried to put HIDE, on the right column, on anything but the category name remains ... what is wrong?

thank you!

Hello,
Maybe you can look in the category options in the main column if the category inherit setting options from another category

Hi Franca,
I don't know too if is there another option somewhere but you can try to check if you have a custom category.php file
in your template html/com_k2/templates/default folder just to be sure if you have some code like this inside :
<?php if($this->params->get('catTitle')): ?>
		<!-- Category title -->
		<h2><?php echo $this->category->name; ?><?php if($this->params->get('catTitleItemCounter')) echo ' ('.$this->pagination->total.')'; ?></h2>
		<?php endif; ?>

Hi Alexandria
do you mean the folder : www.margherite.org/templates/templatename/html ? here I don'h have a com_k2 folder

I give you another information: if you go to my site you'll see that the main category (like macramè) doesn't have the problem ... the category name appears on subcategories like "bracciali" and "collane"

Hello,
sorry i misunderstood your question from the beginning
If you don't have this folder , it's normal, you are using the orginal files.

It seems only 3 pages are different of the others : 'Bracciali', 'collane' and 'bijoux ceramica'
and they are all subcategories

Hello,

The category's name as well as the image (the folder icon is the default image) can be hidden from the category's settings (Category view options).
