thanks for any help. having an issue with the item form menu link. the link will not click at all.. i can add a category menu link and it works..i can edit an item on the front end when looking at an item on the frontend. i have front end editing enabled..i have my user set to a group...all plugins are enabled..i am currently testing this issue on joomla 3.3.6 as well as another website running on 2.5.27 and having the exact same issue. im assuming im overlooking something since i dont see any other similar posts in the forum..looking to purchase frontpage slideshow and simple image gallery if i can get this working fairly soon. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

i have turned off sef and the menu links still does not work..
however i have just come to find that if i create an item via user module ...it works.
But is there any idea why i cannot create item via link? thanks

Hi,

What do you mean when you say that it is not working at all? Check the browser console for any javascript errors. Also try to view the item page with the default template ( append "?template=system" to the URL ) and then click the edit link.

For some reason it is working now..
Sorry if i did not explain my issue correctly but what was happening was that the new item form menu link placed in my top menu would not click and redirect me to the form page... it would just not respond to my clicks while all of the other menu links in my top menu would redirect to their link address.

looking at my steps up to this point brings me to a question for better understanding..
the last thing i did last night was publish the k2 user menu..
is that required be published on the website before the link is activated?

looking at my java console as you mentioned returned this : Uncaught TypeError: undefined is not a function on line 364
and the source on the line as mentioned was shown as this: jQuery('.hasTooltip').tooltip({"html": true,"container": "body"});

Does any thing seem concerning about this error to you and thanks for all of your help.

This sounds like a template issue.

thanks for responding..the link stopped responding to clicks abain but i can create items in the user form...but now noticing the user forms media,video label text is displaying bad. I am on a fresh server 3.3.6 joomla install with basically only k2 installed..

Try installing K2 2.6.9 again on top of the current installation.

Hey..already had the latest version installed..and i uninstalled and reinstalled k2 and its the same....no java errors display on the console also..any idea what would cause this?
