this one is for the pros, I guess. :)

I rencently switched to K2 and imported over 2000 articles.

I know, that K2 generates a meta description if the meta description field on the sidebar of article is empty.

My Problem: before switching I used an plugin which generated meta description live while the page was loading, no matter if the field was empty or not.
Thats why I began to use the meta description field to control the content-linking of my ios app with curly brackets.
I already figured out a way to strip them from the metadata output.
But I cant delete them, otherwhise my app stops working :(

How can I hack K2 Core in a way, that it will ignore a filled meta description field?

I googled for hours, so I am pretty shure, there is no similar post with an already given answer in this forum ;)
