Need Two Sets of Attachments was created by John Helbling
Hello,
I am in need of creating an extra attachment repository with in a k2 item. The client is requesting that he has 2 separate sets of attachments. I was wondering what the best way to accomplish this is with out hacking K2. I have been through the extensions and have not found anything that in my opinion would work. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
John

Hello,
By default this is not possible. The best way to do this would be via a custom K2 plugin.

I would recommend using extra fields rather than the attachment feature, as you can create/use as many as you like.
The only drawback is that you would need to enter the file in a text field, instead of using a select (like the image type).
I have suggested to the K2 Development team to add a "file" as a extra filed type, so that one could select any file with the media manager modal rather than having to enter the file path into a text field. Secondly, the output of the selected file would be a the path to the respective file. Resulting in the ability to use the file path in any way imaginable.
Git Feature Request:
