500 - An error has occurred. XML file did not load. was created by Antonio

Hi, i just updated K2 (using joomla 2.5) and now every time i try to edit an item the error:
500 - An error has occurred. XML file did not load.
shows up

searched forum and found this:
Please go through \administrator\components\com_k2\models.
Rename the userGroup.xml -> usergroup.xml

but file was already like that...
Anyone knows how to solve this?

Clear Joomla!'s cache and install K2 2.6.9 again please.
If you are using 3rd party K2 plugins, please deactivate them to see if they were causing issues.

working fine now
