I have a couple of questions about creating a template / system k2 for real estate.

I have a client that a company has created her a cloud application with which manages everything concerning their own property management business (real estate). Now he has asked me to upload that information to the web to sell online properties. Actually a complex system is not needed, because the management is not from the web, is made from the application; We just need a system to display data fields we want and a module that can be programmed to search for all, or any, of the fields we want.

The system must incorporate a calendar of occupancy for houses for rent. The calendar is displayed only if the property has enabled the field "show" to teach the calendar; and a Google map in property listings showing the location depending on the city, automatically calculating the coordinates.

Should be added to tables of k2 many fields over 37, and that will create the table "dates occupation" of the properties and link to k2.

And all this should be done so that we did not lose the data and changes every time we update Joomla or K2 component.

And my question is:

Can we use the k2 component to display data from the application in the cloud?

How would the data be imported?
You would need some sort of aggregator to insert the items in the DB.
This extension should also check the feeds hourly to see if there is a change.

The fields could be displayed as K2 extra fields, so there would not be a need to add extra tables to the DB.

Overall I think you would need an good aggregator extension which fully supports K2.

The data are imported from the app to joomla tables directly, so we don't need aggregator to insert the items in the DB (actually we can do to copy the data in any table or many tables as we need). Updates data in the tables are also scheduled and are automatic.

What extension (or extensions, components, modules or plugins) you think it would be that I need to use k2 as component for my system?

Since you already have the data. You need two extensions.
One for filtering the properties (filtering via extrafields)
and a more advanced calendar.

I have not personally used one so I cannot actually recommend one, but K2 Filtrify is popular amongst K2 users.
