Try using the following setting:

Parameters > Advanced > Advanced SEF Settings

Prefix for item URLs = None

Custom prefix for item URLs (leave blank)

Use the item ID in the URL = No

Item ID and title alias separator = Use a dash (-)

Use the item title alias = Yes

Use the category ID in the URL = No

Category ID and title alias separator = Use a dash (-)

Use the category title alias = Yes

and each have some parameter to edit. i did not see Advanced SEF Settings

Try looking under SEO.

The version of Joomla! does not matter, the question is, what version of K2 are you using?

I would recommend using nothing less than K2 v2.6.8

K2's urls work the same as com_content.
If you want to cleaner URLs you need to map your K2 categories into menu items. One menu item per category.
