1213 Deadlock found when trying to get lock; was created by Sean Carney
I am wondering if anybody else has seen this error. It is happening with one K2 category when I try to save the category.
Here is the error:
1213 Deadlock found when trying to get lock; try restarting transaction SQL=UPDATE `drca_finder_terms` AS t INNER JOIN `drca_finder_tokens_aggregate` AS ta ON ta.term_id = t.term_id SET t.`links` = t.links + 1
Also, I discovered my account had been deleted at getk2.org web site. I just created a new one but now realize maybe you are closing that down and moving all the support over here?

Hello this error is not from K2.
It is possible that some tables are locked.
Repair your database and try again.

Thank you very much for your reply. I did do a database 'fix' and it seems like that might have worked since the error message is not coming any more.
I am left with a really strange problem now which is that saving any changes to some of the K2 Categories can take a few minutes of time. Apart from this extreme slowness everything else seems to be working fine.
Do you have any ideas what might be causing this issue? Previously it was the same slow behavior that we are experiencing now and then at the end we were getting the error message. Now there is no more error message but extreme slowness to save any changes in some of the Categories. (not all of them)
Any insights you might have will be appreciated!

This indicates a server related issue.
It is possible that:
a) Your server is underpowered for the traffic you have,
b) An extension is causing this or
c) The setup you are using is not ideal for Joomla!/ K2.
This issue is something that should be addressed to your hosting provider.
