Joomla 3.4.1
K2 2.6.9
URL: ohno.ws/escon

I'm having trouble getting the front end "edit item" button working on this site. I am logged in (both front end and back end) as super user, have created a k2 user group and allowed full permissions for my super user account, enabled front end editing through global settings for k2, and ensured that my title is showing on the item pages so that I would be able to see the edit button upon getting the permissions right. I also turned the template and all 3rd party extensions off (except k2) and still had the issue.

If I go into item.php and comment out "if(isset($this->item->editLink)):"
and the endif the button shows up for me while logged in as super user but clicking it opens a modal window that just shows the home page of the site.

Other than that, I get nothing.

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Which other extensions are you using?

I had similar issue and it is due to Boostrap modal (in the template you may be using) meaning something different to K2 modal. It was sorted out by my renaming my K2 modals and will be fixed when K2 version 3 is released so I believe. I am not sure if the same problem exists if you use a JoomlaWorks template or not.

In version 3, compatibility with Joomla! 2.5 and 1.5 will be dropped so this modal will not be included.

In our templates, Bootstrap is not used so this issue is not present.
