Items appears under wrong category was created by Thomas Thrane
Hi

I have made a category named "butikker" (shops) and added 229 items (shops) in it.

But Google has now indexed them under "Events"?
Like: cityhorsens.dk/events/cafe-noisette/

Any clues why this has happened?

Regards
Thomas

I have no clue... Just found them on Google when searching for "cityhorsens" + "cafe noisette"

items under shops have never been connected to events in anyway.

And now I also found this page on Google:
cityhorsens.dk/events/content/1-indhold/

How is this possible?

I do not know what created those links.
In order to avoid this issue you need to map all your K2 categories into menu items.

Then create a new empty K2 category menu item (leave the category selection empty) and call it eg: content. This way all orphan tags and users are rendered from that menu item.

Finally you can either set 301 redirects to these links or try to remove them from Google Webmaster tools.

Thanks!

Found this www.managecms.com/extensions/canonical-links and seems to do the trick.
Now I'll spend some time in WebmasterTools :-)

Also made Butikker as K2 kategori og made template override to it where it doesn't show, since I use a module for showing them...

This can be closed :-)
