url read more button was created by Folkert
Hi,

How can i change the url of the read-more button?

I made a hidden menu with a link to the k2 article.

This k2 article now works with the url:

mydomain.com/events

the real url is

mydomain.com/component/k2/7-services/19

The article is published on the homepage. I use a read more link so people can read the full article on a different page.

I would like the read more url also te be mydomain.com/events instead of mydomain.com/component/k2/7-services/19.

Where can i fix this, or can i manually set the read more url somewhere?

thanks

If you want to have clean URLs you need to map your content (K2 categories primarily) into menu items.

If you haven't setup your menu items you can look into K2's Advanced SEF feature which located in K2's advanced settings.

I tried but no luck so far.

This is the url: www.eventdesign.nl/

If you click on services it scrolls down and you see 4 colums with k2 articles.

All the read more links are messy, i would like them to be for example the first

www.eventdesign.nl/events (instead of www.eventdesign.nl/component/k2/7-services/19)

So i made a hidden menu, and chose K2 Item, and selected that article.
Now going directly to www.eventdesign.nl/events works fine. But i nead the read more url to be the same.

Can you try updating to K2 2.6.9?
Also have you edited core files of K2?

I replaced the file plugins/system/shinetheme/assets/st_template/blog.php but this is not a core file.

It uses

<div class="readmore">
<a href="<?php echo $ext_link; ?>" class="button small default">
Read more
</a>
</div>

Maybe i can send you a pm with login with a copy of the site?

Disable that plugin and try again with only the stock K2 templates.

Then it is best to address this issue to the template's developer.
