I am using Extra Fields for everything (title tag, meta description & social tags, cat & item images). Will rendering 100 Extra Fields per item cause a performance issue?

I know using JoomReem MEFG will make my Item Edit page less cumbersome, but will it also improve performance? (only load specific extra fields assigned to assigned groups [vs] loading all extra fields)

Note: I am using Styleware Performance Booster.

Yes, MEFG only load specific extra fields belonging to assigned groups, therefore it will improve the performance vs loading all extra fields.

To get the best performance in this context, try to make the main group the one with the lowest number of extra fields.

I think this issue can be handled by CSS.
The image you refer to has been taken using Joomla 2.5
