I'm currently working on a project for a clinic in witch there is a section for doctors available there, each doctor should have his own page with all the needed information about him.

I had the category set up and started adding the doctors as items, the only problem I have - as the client wants the doctors' list to have an alphabetical order - is that each group of doctors have their own title/prefix " dr. - prof. ... etc ", so technically the doctors' list has an alphabetical order based on the doctor's title/prefix not his name.

is there a way around this ? can I have another field added to be used optionally as a prefix ? I'm really lost here, all suggestions are more than welcomed.

You can use a K2 content module for this view and manually select the items you want to show, or better yet you can switch that category's sorting to manual. Then you can manually order these items.
