trying to figure out a way to align the images to the center of the page in my post. I've set the float attribute to center to no avail.

I've partly solved it using tinymce feature although the K2 settings for alignment doesn't work, could this be a bug?

K2 does not have a setting for this. K2 uses the editor which is used in Joomla!'s administrator.

To keep it short, you where correct to use tinymce.
