I've been trying to figure this out and with only small success editing 1 file. I want to add an 'item alias' column to K2 items view. A client has several K2 items with the same Title but no way to quickly select the item they want to edit without opening each file or documenting the id # somewhere. Showing the alias next or beneath title seems to be a feature in Joomla core but not K2 that i can find. Another option would be a notes field like you find in modules.

Please advise best way to accomplish this.

You need to look for an extension in the JED or the KED.
There is an extension which extends K2's backend form but I cannot recall its name unfortunately.
