K2 cleans some signs in alias was created by Andrew Voronov
I have an issue with K2: I am trying to enter alias with dashes for items, but after I press "save" button all dashes (and lower dashes) are cleaned. For example, if I enter "this-is_my_item" I get "thisismyitem". Can smb help to solve issue? I tried to switch off/on SEF but it didn't help.
Alias in menu works fine.

I guess that problem is not in K2, but I don't know how to catch issue. I have disabled all 3-rd party components, but it doesn't help. Also I found that if I leave spaces between words in alias then they will became dashes after save button. But if I press save button again - dashes will disappear.

Apart from the dash that is removed since older Joomla! versions will look for an id, everything else is default Joomla! functionality.

You can also check/ edit in K2's advanced settings in the "Additional character replacements" field for any additional rules.

I am using Joomla! 3.4.5 May be it is a problem of the new Joomla!. Additional character replacements is OFF. I tried to switch off all(!) plugins except K2 system so that to be able edit alias in K2 items and categories and it didn't help. Don't know what to do. Some js code cleans dashes. Also I noticed that navigation for items on pages goes to "display: none" after I hover off the element. I mean "Start", "Prev", "Next", "End" links when they are active. How can I catch js code that changes elements? My web site also uses bootstrap and mootools js.

Dashes are automatically generated when you leave a space. However you cannot enter manually a dash.
Finally K2 uses Joomla!'s navigation. This is most likely a template issue.
