Sorry to repost this, but the original topic must have been locked - I can't reply to it.

Brand new to K2 and it's really quite overwhelming!

I have some categories set up and I'm a Super User (and SuperK2 as well). I have set up a registered only menu item on the site with an "Add item" link. using the Item edit form menu item. When I click it, I get the blank form as I'd expect, ready for data entry. I enter the data and click save. I get a blank screen and nothing is saved.

Absolutely no idea what I'm doing wrong.

EDIT: Have tried again and now it appears to be working. However, although the item now saves, after saving, the window the add item form appears in stays open, and the text stays in the edit window. Is this normal? I would expect the form to clear.

Hi,

The modal is not closing automatically. You have to click on either the "Close" button or the close icon of the modal.

Hello,

Are you getting any js errors?
Check the console tab of your browser's developer tools.
Also are you using any 3rd party K2 extensions?

Hi Eion

Go to System | Global Configuration | Server and set Error reporting to "Development". Save then refresh the frontend (may need a Ctrl-F5). That will show up any PHP errors. Interestingly, I got none, though, miraculously, it just began working. Almost like it needed time to propagate!!

Apart from PHP errors check under the console tab of your browser's developer tools for any js errors.

It seems that jQuery is not being loaded.
You can double check's K2 settings to see if it being loaded, or you can use an extension like jQueryEasy.
