So today I ran into a problem when working with K2 which was kicking back the following error. >calendar.setup: Nothing to setup etc etc etc..< When I went to add a new ITEM. So I scoured the internet looking for an answer to find a few answers that were coming up solved but this never resolved my issue. So I disabled everything, Until I realized the template override for K2 copies the wrong files into the "YOURTEMPLATE/HTML/COM_k2 " folder. So when you went to load the form to add an Item K2 was looking in the template override folder and pulling the itemform.php but it is obviously the wrong file considering it has the (defined('_JEXEC') or die;) code in it. and thats it.

My resolution was to COPY the default folder in com_k2/templates directory and paste it back in with a new name then goto the category you created and select the new template that you just created and just edit the files within your new template folder. so you see the default folder and your NEWTEMPLATE folder. Make sure you delete all overrides you auto created using the joomla 3 method. Hope this helps anyone that may have ran into this issue.

Which version of K2 are you using?
Also the fix you are describing sounds more like a template specific fix.

I'm using 2.6.9. And it's a remix template built off of protostar. :)

Well the overridden files were created going into the template and clicking the templates overrides and selecting the overrides I needed for K2 and that's when it began. When the system copied the files it copied those instead of actual template files. But I've sorted this all out doing it the RIGHT WAY. lol

Oh and I must say, Been using easyblog for years and WOLY MOLY! K2 is free? HOLY MOLY! AND BETTER AT THAT.. love it so far.
