Restrict K2 category access in back end was created by Vince Murphy
Hi,
Does anybody know if it's possible to use K2 users and K2 User groups to restrict add/edit/publish etc permissions on specific categories in the back end of Joomla 3.4. I can make all this work from a front end login for the user, but seem to be unable to use this in the back end.

I'm building a limited back end access screen for some power users using Joomla ACL and permissions. In order to get K2 to appear in the back end I have to give "Access Administration Interface" permission within K2, but this then seems to cause all category and all options to be available to the user. Any advise much appreciated.

Cheers....Vince

Hello Vince,

In K2 2.x you will need an extension to apply restrictions on a category level.
You can choose an extension in the JED or here: getk2.org/extend/extensions
