Are K2 Category item images processed by Joomla content plugins? Or do they have their own? I'm asking because I'd like to be able to auto-resize images in a K2 layout with Smartresizer. I'd need to individually choose whether to use height or width for the rule. Currently this happens only for widths and it's causing a visual mess with multi column layouts when the images are different proportions.

If this won't work, does anybody know of a plug-in or K2 config that would?

K2 uses it's own resizing rules which is based on the width since we don't like cropping images :)

You can force a maximum height on your template with CSS rules in order to have a uniform layout.
