At the moment when I use k2 itemform, in the front end, it is opening in a new page.
Instead I would like the itemform to be displayed inside my website layout (with menus, footer, etc..), in the same way as contact forms are displayed in Joomla.

Is it possible to achieve this? if yes, how can I do?

The itemform will be rendered through the component.php file.
If that file contains the same modules as your index.php file, the UI will be the same.
