I recently noticed that the normal position of my right side menus had changed on a blog page which uses the k2 category item layout.

The menus now appear at the bottom of the category items.

At first I thought it was my template that had done something strange but while developing a new site using a blank template with the T3 Framework, the same problem suddenly occurred out of nowhere. It appears that the problem is sometimes caused when editing an item. I can't work out why this is happening as when I identify the relevant item, I can't see anything in it that would cause this problem including within the HTML. If I cut and paste the text into a text editor and then re-past it into the item, the category item display returns back to normal with correct menus back on the right hand side.

It happens through two different Joomla editors, including the native one and obviously different templates/frameworks.

Any ideas why this might be occurring and a reliable solution?

Hello Simon,

If the template does not have any HTML errors, then your introtext contains some broken HTML markup.

You can clean it up in an editor, or you can use a wordlimit which automatically strips all HTML tags. Alternatively in K2's parameters you can enable the "Content Cleanup" to manually strip certain HTML tags.

That fits with my experience as the problem has occurred twice when editing the 'read more' position within the items.

I noticed that there are a lot of div elements in your introtext.
An unclosed one will produce this behaviour.
