Hello, it seems fronend editing isn't working anymore since I've updated to 2.7.0. I'm using Joomla 3.5.1.
In all cases, the button "close" doesn't work and in 1 case even "save" doesn't work anymore.

No errors, just a full-screen editor that doesn't close when you hit the close-button and doesn't save....

If you are using overrides for the itemform.php file please disable them temporarily to see if that solves the issue.

Same problem for me - frontend edit brings up a full screen instead of modal window, and the buttons don;t work.

I fixed some of the issues by setting jQuery library handling to 1.11 (latest remote) but then I have the content/image/image gallery tabs not working.
