Yes, the SH404SEF integration has been removed completely, including the parameters.

I've just had a look at the site that I've upgraded and all URLs continue to work as before, even those modified in sh404SEF.

What I think is, that Weeblr has had the same idea as a lot of people, that K2 2.7.0 and K2 3 wasn't going to see the light of day, and because of that they wouldn't do anything.

The point which has not been clearly answered is this. In K2 v 2.7.0. these parameters have been decoupled, so will the historically nice SEF urls now lose their 'prefix for users' or 'Title alias' etc?
Weeblr have told me that they expect upcomng K2 plugins for sh404SEF by JoomlaWorks to resolve any changes. Upcoming commercial plugins are also announced by Fotis.
Logically, there is no problem, but I am also reluctant to upgrade to K2 V 2.7.0 at the moment, although I really really want to!

But you can still edit them in sh404SEF without a problem.
So for sites with large numbers of URLs generated daily, it's probably worth waiting for the sh404SEF plugin.
For everyone else, it's the work of a few seconds to update the URL.
And yeah, while it's not super special to remove functionality so you can build plugins to charge for it, there have been many, many instances over the years of people asking how they could pay/donate to Joomlaworks to get work done faster.
Congrats. You will now have a way.

I have two questions:
1. I used 'all categories' prefix option ie: news/sports/ . Would that be possible with the excpeting sh404SEF plugin? And, will it be out any time soon? I will need to review my sh404SEF tables on some sites as they now contain 2-3 differently constructed links for some items.
2. what about downgrading to 2.6.9. now when 2.7 is already installed? Is it an option?
And one notice - Using current 2.7 'Advanced SEF settings, I can't turn off 'use category ID'.. I turn it off - but it still comes up. Something wrong?
I am happy to see K2 moving forward and I don't mind paying for some plugins. But I don't want to lose functionalities - I need 'backward compatibility'.

1. This option can be replicated by using the default menu structure URl.
2. This is also an option but I would strongly recommend backing up first.
3. We will look into this.

Although I'm bit reluctant to change anything completely around as there are other things than k2 on the site - and it's around for 3 years, a lot of SE, social and other links
2. Glad to hear it, I may try it - but I would like to be able to stick with new versions for compatibility and safety reasons - specially in the future.
Another question - would I be able to solve the issue with the announced sh404SEF plugin? Again - I don't mind paying - as long as it works :)

Another question: Where can I download latest 2.6x to try with downgrade while I wait for plugin/upgrade?
