is it possible to remove the tabs

IMAGE
IMAGE GALLERY
MEDIA
EXTRA FIELDS

from Editor? So, that only CONTENT and ATTACHMENTS are visible?

You can override K2's layout like the front end and use CSS in order to hide these tabs.
